He was born in Scranton, August 8, 1877, the son o the late Carl and Marie Hoffman Lewert. Since moving to Sunbury, 37 years ago, he had been employed as a sheet metal worker by Arthur Morris and by Hackett's East End Hardware Store. He was a member of the Good Intent Fire Company.
He is survived by a brother, Walter Lewert, this city, and a sister,Mrs. May Musaeus, Jersey City, N. J.
Funeral services will be held Monday at 1:30 p.m. from the Wirt Funeral Home, Cliftmont, with Rev. William M. Hoover, Hamilton, officiating. Burial will be in Sunbury Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home Sunday evening.
