Florence Jean Ditto, 67, born January 9, 1945 to the late James and Eva Bell Jones lost her short battle to cancer on Sunday, September 16, 2012.

Her final days were spent surrounded by family and friends of who's lives she had touched.

Ms. Ditto gave most of her adult life to the ministry of Christian Education. She was a teacher at Heritage (Thrifthaven) Baptist Academy for 37 years. She taught hundreds of students Science, Math, English, and Bible. Through her disciplined classroom she instilled into her students how to work hard, be on time, be organized and do their best. Her life especially touched their hearts by her love for Jesus Christ.

Ms. Ditto will be remembered by her devoted brother Jim Jones, beloved children Jeanette Ditto, Jennifer Orozco and Jeanelle Umbs and fourteen treasured grandchildren, along with countless other friends and family who were blessed to know her.

Friends, family, and students, past and present are invited to attend a memorial service at 1 p.m., on Wednesday, September 19, 2012 at Memorial Park Funeral Home.

The visitation will be held from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday, September 18, 2012 also at Memorial Park Funeral Home. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Heritage Baptist, 711 N. Houston Levee Rd., Cordova TN 38018.
