I just wanted to tell you how amazing and uplifting your tribute to Max is. The other day I was looking at photos of some of my familyís graves in the Shooks Chapel Cemetery outside of Sulphur Springs, Texas (most of my dadís family (Beckham) is buried there) and when I saw that you had added one of the photos (of my cousin, Patsy Elliott), I clicked on your name just to find out who you are. And then I saw the link to your kittyís page and was so surprised to see that sort of thing there. Being a huge animal lover and especially a cat lover, I was intrigued. I canít tell you how moved I was to find that incredible and beautiful and heart wrenching tribute, especially from a guy to a little kitty. Your Max was amazing---what a beautiful boy. But amazing too is the love and sensitivity you feel for him. In my sphere it seems that men in general donít like cats for some reason which I will never quite understand---both in my family and in my office, apparently itís somehow fashionable to dislike cats. I donít get it and never will, but you feel so differently and reading your tribute was like a breath of fresh air and an inspiration. Believe it or not, I have a Max, a grey tabby (by the way, from my experience tabbies are the most awesome cats), who will be twelve on May 5th of this year. He too was a stray that I rescued from the middle of a busy street in Tyler (where I work) when he was just a small kitten and he is an amazing cat---incredibly friendly and loving and laid back. He is a constant joy. I also have a two year old named Bob who is mostly white but with faint hints of yellow tabby stripes and bright blue eyes---so beautiful and another rescue from a busy Tyler street. He is huge now and the picture of your Max lying on the flowery pillow looks so much like my Bob. Bob is probably the most loving cat Iíve ever encountered. He too is a constant source of joy. Anyway, I just had to tell you how inspired and moved I was reading about your Max and the love you have for him. And after I read your tribute I had to read all of the related comments. Like mine, theyíre still coming in because Iím sure, like me, many other people are just as moved. And like one commenter said, itís so wonderful to see so many animal lovers coming together to give their respects. So very inspiring. It does my heart so much good just knowing people like that are in the world---people like you. And your paranormal experiences gave me goose bumps and moved me to tears. But I believe that only bodies die. Whatís real lives on and when love is strong enough those connections remain tangible and live on as well. Thank you, Dennis, for all the love you put out into this love-starved world and thank you, thank you for making my day!! And when you talk to Max, give him my fondest regards.

WOW! That is all I can say! That is so amazing...and yes, I do believe GOD does prepare us for losses like this one! I was devastated when I lost my first pug... after a divorce.. .I moved out and she got run over by a car because I didn't have a fenced in yard... She was my baby... Ex allowed me to bury her in "her backyard" after she died.. as he was digging her grave, he looked at me... and said.. You loved that dog more than you ever loved me... I said YEP I sure did.. she loved me unconditionally..something you never did or ever will... I gave you the house..I took the dog and my daughter...that is all I wanted... SHE got me through a horrible divorce... and happy to say I have never married again... God bless you!! Rest in peace, Maxwell!
