John Joseph Crutchfield, 89, of Soddy-Daisy, TN passed away Friday, August 31, 2012 at his home.

He was born on June 23, 1923 in Sequatchie County, TN to the late H.A. and Virginia Crutchfield.

He was a member of Daisy United Methodist Church.

John served in WW II in the U.S. Coast Guard. He was a self-employed wood worker and a very talented artist.

He was also preceded in death by his sisters, Elizabeth Helton, and Dot Perry.

He is survived by his wife of 63 years, JoAnn Crutchfield, children, Tina Stanfield, Tony (Cindi) Crutchfield, Tim (Lisa) Crutchfield all of Soddy-Daisy, TN, grandchildren, Carla, Tracy, Kane, and Eric, brothers, Ted Crutchfield, Ed Crutchfield, many special nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be 11:00 A.M. Tuesday in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Don Jones officiating.

Interment will follow the service at Chattanooga National Cemetery with Military Honors.

Family will receive friends from 6-8 P.M. Monday at the funeral home.

The family wants to extend their appreciation for the excellent care given by Caris Hospice and niece, Brenda Egger.

Arrangements are by Williamson and Sons Funeral Home, 8852 Dayton Pike, Soddy-Daisy, TN.
