Born about 1900 in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico. Her father was Jose Cordero Y Fantauzzi, and her mother was Rosalia Morales Y Feliciano. Her parents never married so she took her mother's last name as her own. She married Pedro Rivera Y Perez, veteran of Word War One, in September of 1917. They had seven children: Margaro, Maria Elena, Maria Antonia, Mercedes, Ramon, Carmen Ester, and Marianna. She died of cancer in New York City on June 17, 1960.
