Cannon Christian Anderson, 81, of Idaho Falls, Idaho died of renal failure September 19, 2003, at the Idaho Falls Care Center. He was under the care of Hospice of Eastern Idaho.

He was born February 1, 1922 at Ammon, Idaho to Reuben C. Anderson and Chloe Gardner Anderson. He graduated from Ammon High School and attended Ricks College. He served honorably in the U. S. Army during World War II.

On October 17, 1943, he married Barbara Ethel Smith in St. Anthony, Idaho. Their marriage was solemnized in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple on May 31, 1946. He was a local business owner and president of Cannon, Inc. He retired in 1972.

He was a member of the Idaho Falls Kiwanis Club and served
as local president and State Lieutenant Governor. He was also a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars. He served on the Idaho Falls Planning and Zoning Commission. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in numerous positions. He enjoyed golfing, photography, spending time in Island Park, and especially loved visits from grandchildren and great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by 3 brothers. Funeral Services held September 23, 2003, at the Idaho Falls LDS 28th Ward (1165 Azalea Drive), with Bishop Cleo Geddes officiating.
