AGNES B. LUCE
Services will be held at 2 p.m. today at the Trinity United Methodist Church, 5th and Oak streets, Colusa, for Agnes B. Luce, 76 of Corning. She died Jan. 26, 1998, at her daughter's home in Hamilton City.
She was born Feb. 4, 1921 in Dole, Oregon to John and Eva Couey. She married Gerald "Shorty" Luce Oct. 2, 1936. He preceded her in death in 1981.
Mrs. Luce has been a resident of Corning for the past 25 years. Prior to that she was a resident of Colusa.
Survivors include five daughters, Eva Miller of Colusa, Judy Grigsby and Gail Woolery, both of Hamilton City, Terri Williams of Roseburg, Oregon, and Sandy Howard of Corning; son, Jerry Luce of Santa Maria; and three brothers, John Couey of Corning, Clarence Couey of Empire, Oregon, and Ted Couey of Roseburg, Oregon. There are 19 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. A sister, Francis Ainger, and a brother, Alfred Couey, preceded her in death.
Memorial contributions may be made to local chapters of the FFA or the 4-H.
Burial will be at the Colusa Cemetery.
