The native of Tarrytown, N.Y., lived in Vallejo before moving to Benicia two years ago. She was a volunteer at Mt. Diablo Medical Center in Concord and a member of Retired Secretaries of Tosco.
She enjoyed traveling, golf, gardening and attending musicals in San Francisco. She was the 1946 national freestyle roller skating champion.
She is survived by her daughter, Linda Marlar of Benicia; son, Gary Marlar of Kodiak, Alaska; sisters, Miriam Buxton of New York and Lucinda Walker of Ohio; and three grandchildren. Her husband, Leon Marlar, died in 1987.
