"Bodie" Kim Daugherty, 40, of Clinton, died Sunday, April 3, 2005, at Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge. The son of Lonnie and Wilma Daugherty of Clinton, he was born March 9, 1965, in Cleveland, Ohio. Mr. Daugherty was a member of Laurel Grove Baptist Church and was an avid Tennessee football fan.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Daugherty is survived by his fiancé of 21 years, Misty Poland of Clinton; special children, Rodney Poland and wife, Debra, of Cumberland County, Tracy Poland of Clinton, and Terra Patterson of Oliver Springs; two special nephews, Johnathon Cornett and Travis Cornett, both of Clinton; special niece, Megan Simpson of Clinton; and two sisters, Tammy Simpson and husband, Larry, and Ashley Daugherty, all of Clinton.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, April 7, 2005, in the chapel at Hatmaker Funeral Home in Lake City with the Rev. Kenny Sharp and the Rev. Lee Phillips officiating. The burial will follow the funeral at the Patterson Cemetery in the New River community. The family will receive friends from 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, April 6, 2005, at the funeral home. Hatmaker Funeral Home in Lake City in charge of arrangements.
