ANTHONY BRANNIGAN

Anthony "Tony" Brannigan, age 86, of Farwell, passed away on June 7, 1996, in the MidMichigan Regional Medical Center in Midland.

He was bom on May 6, 1910, in Springfield, IL, the son of Anthony Sr. and Mary (Benjunicc) Brannigan. He married Millie Fitzpatrick on April 17, 1948, in the St. Cecilia Church, Clare.

Mr. Brannigan moved to the Clare area 58 years ago from the Upper Peninsula. He worked in the forestry division of the old C.C.C. and later worked at Kraft Foods. After retirement he did drain field excavating. He was a member of the St. Cecilia Church and a former member of the K of C.

Surviving are his wife, Millie; one daughter, Linda Anne and Jerry Dawson of Clare; four grandchildren; and one nephew, Robert Esterline of California. He was preceded in death by two sons, Timothy and Anthony; and five sisters, Ann, Helen, Marie, Jackie and Evelyn.

Funeral services were held on June 11 in the St. Cecilia Church, Clare, with Father Joe Ryan officiating. Interment was in St. Cecilia Cemetery at Clare. Arrangements were by the Stephenson-Wyman Funeral Home of Clare. (The Clare Sentinel, p. 10 - Clare, MI - 11 June 1996)
