ALFRED HOEFNER
Alfred Hoefner, 87, of Rt. 1, Manitowoc, died Saturday at Holy Family Hospital,
Manitowoc.
Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at St. John Evangelical Lutheran
Church, Newtonburg. The Rev. Keith Haberkorn will officiate and burial will be
in Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mr. Hoefner was born April 14, 1886, at Newtonburg, son of the late William and
Elizabeth Bremer Hoefner. He married Anna Huebner Dec. 30, 1914, at Newtonburg.
The couple farmed most of their lives. His wife preceded him in death in 1956.
Mr. Hoefner was a member of St. John Church and was active in the church choir
and band for many years.
Survivors include a son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Harry (Elizabeth) Hahn
of Rt. 1, Manitowoc, a grandson, Roger, and two great grandchildren.
Friends may call at the Jens Funeral Home, Manitowoc, after 4 p.m. Monday until
11 a.m. Tuesday and then at the church from noon until the time of service.
