She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Lilbert McDowell and Patrick Edward McDowell; sisters, Floella Stinnett and Virgie McDowell.
She is survived by her husband of 54 years, William L. Boyd of Evansville; son, Phillip Keith Boyd and his wife, Marianne, of Anguilla, British West Indies; brother, James E. McDowell of St. Louis; sister, Felta Mae George of Omak, Wash.; grandchildren, Katherine (Boyd) Connor of Anguilla, British West Indies and Phillip Thomas Boyd of Birmingham, Ala.
