Cleo Ann Veta Allen, 76, of Norman died Monday, Aug. 22, at her home. Services will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Criswell Chapel in Ada with Gene Reeves officiating. Burial will follow at Rosedale Cemetery. Criswell Funeral Home in Ada is handling arrangements.
Mrs. Allen was born July 31, 1929, in Paoli, to Charlie and Zena Lorena Branum Osborne. She attended school in Davis. She married O.L. Allen Dec. 6, 1944, in Ardmore. He died March 9, 1986, in Oklahoma City. She married H. D. "Cotton" Marsh in May 1997. He died in June 2004. Mrs. Allen was a licensed practical nurse at Sugg Clinic in Ada, where she was a former resident, and later for the J.D. McCarty Children's Center in Norman until she retired. She was a member of Lakeside Pentecostal Holiness Church in Norman.
Mrs. Allen was preceded in death by her son Gary Allen, brother Roy Jackson Osborne and parents.
Mrs. Allen is survived by her son Charles Allen and wife Femmy of Yuma, Ariz.; daughters Carol Walls of Norman, Sandi Hamilton and husband Hollie of Tahlequah and Linda Upton and husband Ernie of Norman; sisters Pat Norrell and husband Fred of Davis, Marita Lewis and husband Jack of Davis and Jonna McClendon of California; brother Ronnie Osborne of Sulphur; nine grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Bearers will be Ernie Upton, Hollie Hamilton, Steve Walls, Wayne and Matt Allen and Billy Gray.
