MONTROSE - Lifetime area resident, Emmett Earl Boyer, 88, of Montrose died on Friday, July 24, 1998 at the Montrose Memorial Hospital.
Funeral Services to honor and celebrate his life will be held on Monday, July 27, 1998 at 2 p.m. at the Crippin Funeral Home Chapel in Montrose, with the Rev. Lloyd McMillian officiating.
Interment will follow the service at the Valley Lawns Cemetery, with arrangements being handled under the direction of the Crippin Funeral home of Montrose
Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 26, 1998 from 3 to 7 p.m. at the Crippin Funeral Home Chapel.
Emmett Earl Boyer was born on Sept 15, 1909 at Delta, the son of Gordon and Elsie Park Boyer. He spent his childhood in Delta.
Mr Boyer was a farmer. On Nov 4, 1934, he married Sylvia Trone at Montrose. His wife of 63 years survives at the family home in Montrose.
In addition to his wife, Mr Boyer is survived by his son Jim Dolan, of Montrose; six grandchildren: Tim Dolan, David Dolan, Mauri Dolan, Raonna Heddin, all of Montrose; Roanna Snell of Amarillo, Texas; Adele Frangos of Albuquerque, NM; three great grandchildren and two great- great grandchildren.
Other family survivors include three sisters: Doris Doudy, Dessie Baronowski and Blanche Underwood.
Mr Boyer was preceded in death by his parents; brothers Lyle Boyer and Dale Boyer; son Vernon Eugene Dolan and great-granddaughter, Danielle Dolan.
