Ella Marie Allmon, 86, of Longview Home, Missouri Valley, Iowa died on February 2 at Community Memorial Hospital. She was born on July 30, 1894 in Kenesaw, Nebraska the daughter of Balser and Marea Stengel Roeder. She married Gordon Earl Allmon in Council Bluffs on March 31, 1916. She was a longtime resident of Missouri Valley and a 50 year member of the United Methodist Church.
Funeral services were held on February 4 at 11 AM at the United Methodist Church in Missouri Valley with the Reverend Melvin Reth officiating. Interment was in Rose Hill Cemetery in Missouri Valley. Hennessey, VanCleave and Hurley funeral home handled the arrangements.
Her husband, Gordon proceeded her in death in 1956. Two grandsons also proceeded her.
Survivors include one son, Robert, of Missouri Valley; three daughters, Helen O'Neill (Edward) of Tacoma, Washington; Marie Miller (Harry) of Council Bluffs; Betty Guttau (Donald) of Mondamin; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
