Holly was a South African Meerkat of the Kalahari Desert. She was born on December 11, 1997, into the Young Ones mob. Her mother was Morgause, the dominate female and her father was Keros, the dominate male.
Her mates were Argon and Kine.
Holly was seen in Meerkat Manor The Story Begins as the dominant female and the mother of Flower. She was proud of her family as well as her mate Argon. Holly gave birth on March 15, 2000 to four pups named Flower, Hazel, Petal and Thumper. Her four pups were precious to her but, she saw something special in her daughter Flower.
A battle took place between Holly and Brambles, one of her sisters. After a brutal, lengthy fight, Holly beat Brambles into submission and attained dominance of the new mob called Whiskers.
Holly's most famous daughter was Flower of the Kalahari.
After an attack by a rival group, the Lazuli, the Whiskers were forced to surrender their territory and move to a new home. On September 19, 2000, only eleven days after Holly gave birth to her seventh litter, she was killed by a gosehawk. Flower was a year old at the time of her death.
She had three litter-mates Brambles(VYF007), VYM009 and VYF010.
