Carlos "Charlie" López, age 73, a life-long resident of Bosque, New Mexico, passed away on Monday, June 29, 2009.
Charlie was born to the late Miguel and Ciprianita Barranca López in Bosque, New Mexico.
Carlos was a graduate of Belen High School in 1954 and also served in the United States Army. His passion was his farm and ranch for many years.
Charlie was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, Rosendo López, Frank López and Tony López and sister, Manuela "Lela" Chávez.
Carlos is survived by his four sisters, Rosina Marino, Ida Pérez, Pauline García and her husband, Cecil all of Albuquerque and Jennie Sánchez and her husband, Ramon of Socorro, brother-in-law, Gabriel Chávez and sister-in-law, Lucy López. Chrlie is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews and friends.
A Memorial Mass will be held at Cristo Rey Catholic Church on Saturday, July 18, 2009 at 9:00 a.m. with Father Hickman presiding. Interment will follow at the Bosque Catholic Cemetery.
