James E. "Jake" Shepherd, Sr., 81, of Scottdale, formerly of Uniontown, Pennsylvania passed away Sunday, August 29, 2010 in Frick Hospital Mount Pleasant, after a lengthy illness surrounded by his loving Family. He was born on March 6, 1929 in Richmond, Virginia the Son of Robert Shepherd and Eunice Trexler Shepherd. "Jake" was preceded in death by his Wife, Wanda Kapel Shepherd; eldest Son, James E. Shepherd Jr.; Parents; two Brothers and one Sister. He is survived by two Children: Carol Shepherd of Scottdale, Pennsylvania and Fred Shepherd and wife Kathy of Fallston, Maryland; one Daughter- in-Law, Iris Shepherd, Columbia Maryland several Nieces and Nephews. Friends will be received in SKIRPAN FUNERAL HOME, 135 Park Street, Brownsville, Pennsylvania on Tuesday, August 31, from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. where Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, September 1, 2010 at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Mark Peachey officiating. Interment will follow in LaFayette Memorial Park, Brier Hill, Pennsylvania.
