Wanda went to be with the Lord Friday, July 13, 2012, with her family by her side.
Prayer service will be at 7 p.m. Monday at Comanche Nation Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Milton Otis and Hicks Boyiddle officiating.
Wanda was born Jan. 17, 1933, in Mountain View, to Adlai and Nettie Neconie Boyiddle. She was a member of the Kiowa Tribe of Oklahoma. She was loved by all and cherished by many. She was member of the United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her children: Bobby Spottedhorse, of Shawnee; La Rue Spottedhorse-Haywood, of Lawton; Rhonda and husband Jack Oates, of Cache; and Sheryl and husband Daniel Mather, of Lawton; grandchildren: Michele Valentine, William Valentine, Gregory Salas, Lynda Salas, Stacy Lynn Valentine, Valerie Valentine, Brent Valentine and Angeline Spottedhorse; numerous other grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and many other family and friends; and special caregiver, Carla Tawkoyty.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Bill Vega; one son, Ralph Boyiddle; infant daughter, Nettie Alice Spottedhorse; brothers: Parker Boyiddle, Jimmy Boyiddle and Joe Poauty; two sisters: Helen Blackbear and Bernice Jones; grandson, Michael George Salas; one great-grandson, Robert Chase McCullar; and son-in-law, Mark Haywood.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Pallbearers: Gregory Salas, Brandon Salas, Brent Valentine, Daniel Mather, Jack Oates, Jerrad Gooday, Larriel Tawkoyty and Aaron Ball.
