Mrs T.C. Cook, 71, died at 6:15 p.m. Saturday at her home, 1008 South Willow, following two years of ill health. Funeral services were to be held at 3 p.m. Monday at the East Sherman Baptist Church with Rev. L.O. Evans conducting, assisted by the Rev. J.L. Selcraig and Dr. J.A Ellis. Interment was to be in West Hill Cemetery under direction of Waldo Funeral Home. Pallbearers were to be sons and grandsons.
Born Sept. 7 1867 in Macon County, Tenn., she was the daughter of Mr and Mrs R.B. Freeman. She was married to T.C. Cook in Tennessee in 1882 and they came to Texas in 1902, settling in Sherman. Mr Cook died in December 1942. She was a member of the East Sherman Baptist Church. Survivors include two sons, W.P (Pierce) Cook and B.W Cook of Sherman, four daughters, Mrs Bessie Clark and Mrs Fred Lawrence of Sherman, Mrs Stanley Dahl of Jersey City, N.J., Miss Lillian Cook of Washington D.C.; Mrs Zelma Cook, widow of the late Bennett Cook; one brother, R.B. Freeman of Long Creek, Tenn.; one sister, Mrs Lucy Meadow of Westmoreland, Tenn., 21 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
