Dayton, Texas - Funeral services for Rodney Lee Pickett,63, of Nederland Texas, were at 2 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 15, from St. Joseph's Catholic Church. The Rev. Tom Phelan officiated. Burial was in Magnolia Park Cemetery under the direction of Sterling Funeral Home.A wake service was held Wednesday, Oct. 14.

Mr. Pickett died Tuesday, Oct. 13, 1998, in his son's home in Dayton.

A native of Elton, he had lived the past 34 years in Nederland. He worked for Citgo in Lake Charles for nine years and Courdand Containers as a machinist He was a member of the Machinist Local in Beaumont. He was a member of St Charles Catholic Church in Nederland.


Survivors include his wife, Hasa Pickett; three sons, Harold and Terry Pickett, both of Dayton and James Pickett of Lumberton, Texas; six brothers, Henry L. Pickett and Marion Pickett, both of Elton, Jaynes Harold Pickett of Kirbyville, Lonie Dale Pickett of Buna, Texas, Jerry Lee Pickett of Conroe, Texas and Bart "Bobby" Pickett of Lake Charles; four sisters, Azoria Louise Adams of Conroe, Beatrice Ann Langley and Annie Lee LaBauve, both of Basileand Addie Mae Milligan of Bunkie; and six grandchildren.
