THANK YOU from all of the Jonas and Molly (Amsden) FAY descendants!
Jonas was not listed on the 1769 tax list so he must have arrived from Southborough, MA after that date and certainly by 1772 when he was admitted to the Congregational Church under the ministry of Rev. Searle.
We find him listed as a pew holder in the Old Meeting House as follows; Ground Pews, #11, Jonas Fay. Jonas is listed as one of the Early settlers and that he owned land before 1775 in Mason.
He married Molly Amsden on 9 Mar 1774, she being the daughter of Abraham and Hannah (Whitcomb) AMSDEN. They had at least 11 children, unfortunately not all of whom lived to adulthood.
His date of birth and death are recorded in this place and both are sourced by original records and the headstone date of death.
