Louise Magleby Woodmansee, 90, died February 7, 1996, in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Born in Monroe, Utah, March 14, 1905 to John Ephraim and Jane (Jennie) Adam Warnock Magleby. B.S. From BYU, 1928. Graduate work at Columbia U. . Served a mission for the LDS church in New Zealand, 1928-30. Married Lloyd H. Redford June 12, 1930, divorced in September 1938. Married LeRoy G Woodmansee, July 26, 1944; died February 23, 1985.
She taught school in Vernal, Monroe, Mt. Pleasant, Ogden, and in Salt Lake where retired in 1968. In Salt Lake, taught Home Econ. at South, East, and Highland. Member of Utah Home Econ. Assoc. and the honorary, Delta Kappa Gamma. Lived in Tripoli, N. Africa, and traveled to Egypt, Israel, Europe, Tunis and Lybia. In retirement, traveled and lived in Utah, Arizona, and Mexico. Hobbies include gardening, reading, sewing, traveling, cooking wonderful meals, and making homemade candy. Active in the LDS church. Thanks to Parleys 5th Ward for their care and concern.
Survived by her children: Barbara R. Cook (John), Salt Lake City; Dorothy R. Folsom (Larry) Brigham City; and David L. Redford, W. Melbourne, Flor.; ten grandchildren; 11 plus great-grandchildren; and her brother, MacRay Magleby, who has helped and encouraged her since widowhood. Preceded in death by sisters, Fern, Ivy, Vera and Jennie, and brothers, John, Reed, and Russell.
Funeral services, Tuesday, February 13, 1996, at 12 Noon in the Parleys 5th Ward, 2615 E. Stringham Avenue (2295 So.). Friends may call at the ward at 11 am before services or Monday, from 6-8 pm at Larkin Mortuary, 260 East South Temple, burial at the Wasatch Lawn.
In lieu of flowers make contributions to the American Heart Assoc. or the Missionary Fund of the LDS Church.
