She was born in Meadville, PA, on June 12, 1919, the daughter of Ned Emmitt and Helen McNeill Turner.
She graduated from Penn High School, Greenville, PA, and moved to Sharon, PA following her marriage to Clifford G. Nolan where they lived for several years.
Mr. and Mrs. Nolan later lived in Athens, GA, until moving to Muncie in 1961.
June was a member of First Presbyterian Church, served on the board of the Ball Memorial Hospital Auxiliary, Beta Associate Chapter of Tri Kappa Sorority, was an active Bridge player, and loved to read and bake.
Surviving are her daughter, Karen Heinrichs (husband-Nelson); three grandchildren, Laura Henrichs Mace (husband-Peter), Nels Heinrichs (wife-Sarah), and John Heinrichs (wife-Melissa); six great-grandchildren, Emily, P.J., Gabrielle, and Charles Mace, and William and Avery Heinrichs.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clifford G. Nolan; a daughter, Janice; and a brother, James Turner.
Services will be 4 p.m. Monday, June 18, 2012 at the First Presbyterian Church Chapel, 1400 W. Riverside Ave., Muncie, IN 47303, with Rev. Dr. Ronald Naylor officiating. Private burial will follow in Elm Ridge Cemetery. Friends may call at the church one hour prior to service time on Monday.
