Delores Willmina Hayes was born on April 9, 1920, in Muscatine, Iowa the daughter of Daniel and Martha (Johnson) Hayes. On August 4, 1956, Delores was united in marriage to Lyle Tompkins in Muscatine. She was a life-long resident of Muscatine and had worked for Thatcher Plastics for 20 years. She enjoyed singing and dancing to all kinds of music, fishing, gardening, canning and spending time with her pets.
Delores will be deeply missed by her children, Donald Frye and his wife, Jo of Muscatine, Timothy Tompkins and his wife, Patricia of Bettendorf, Gregory Tompkins and his wife, Debra of Bettendorf, Connie Cox and her husband, Danny of Letts and Judith Brockert and her husband Bill of Fruitland; 17 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband in 1998, two brothers, Clifford and Arthur, one sister, Ethel.
