Ruth Parsons Hamilton, the oldest daughter of Frederic W. and Jessie M. Parsons, was born November 16, 1905, at the farm home southwest of Barnard, Kansas. She died June 3, 1989, at the Sunny Acres Nursing Home, Denver, Colorado.
Memorial services were held at the Nursing Home chapel on June 8, with the Rev. Roland Taylor, Crossroads American Baptist Church, Northglen, Colo., officiating.
Interment was at the Rose Hill Cemetery, Whittier, Calif.
On May 23, 1926, Ruth was married to R. E. Hamilton of Barnard. They soon left for California, where they made their home first in Monterey Park, later moving to Rosemead. She resided at Rosemead until 1979, when she moved to Denver to be near her son.
Ruth was preceded in death by one daughter, Ollie Lee, in September of 1937; and her husband R. E. in April of 1976.
Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Neil and Celia, whose mailing address in P. O. Box 2075, Evergreen, CO 80439; two grandsons, Andrew of Washington, D. C. and Matthew, also of Evergreen; four sisters: Margaret Evans of Wichita; Marian Medcraft of Lincoln; Helen Loy and Frances Clark of Barnard; a number of nieces and nephews, and many friends.
The family suggests memorials to Crossroads American Baptist Church Youth Fund, 10451 Huron Street, Northglenn, Colorado 80234.
