Fred passed away while working in his yard. He had a very outgoing personality and was very competitive. While serving in the Army during WWII and Korea, he participated in numerous first invasions. After the war, he was working in a machine shop and caught a metal fragment in one eye for which he lost his sight. Fred was a graduate of Stivers High School in Dayton OH.
