OBITUARY-MR. PAUL ALBERS
The funeral services of Mr. Paul Albers were conducted last Thursday, June 6, 1918, at the Alber's home at 1:30 o'clock, by Rev. James H. Gagnier, pastor of the Vermillion Baptist Church. Mr. Albers was born in Hanover, Germany on January 31, 1845. He came to the United States in 1866. In 1871 he was united in marriage to Miss. Mary Larson. They came to Clay County in 1878 and made their home here since that time. They had eight children. In 1895 Mr. Albers was taken into the membership of the Spirit Mound Baptist Church. His death came on June 3, 1918 at 9:30 p.m. at the age of 73 years, four months and 3 days. He was a many on spendid character. Burial was at the Spirit Mound Cemetery.
