Viola, Wis. - Mrs. Ella Martin, 86, died in a Viroqua hospital Sunday, Oct. 20, after a brief illness.
Among her survivors is her stepmother, Mrs. Alice Eklberry of Richland Center, who is 101.
Mrs. Martin was born in Ohio Dec. 4, 1876, and she was married Jan. 16, 1899. Her husband preceded her in death.
Other survivors are two sons, Paul of La Farge and Dale of Pewaukee; four daughters, Mrs. Roy (Mabel) Smith of Viola, Mrs. William (Juanita) Gehrt of Wauwatosa, Mrs. Ray (Wilma) Gehrt of Milwaukee and Mrs. John (Louise) Radke of West Allis; three sisters, Mrs. Mabel Marshall of Richland Center, Mrs. Hollie Smith of Viroqua and Mrs. Owner {Omer} Briggs of Blue River; and 17 grandchildre and 16 great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Viola Methodist Church, Rev. Clyde Corss officiating, and burial will be in the Viola Cemetery. Friends were asked to call at the Henthorn Funeral Home after 1 p.m. Tuesday.
