Robert Lewis "Bobby" Brown, 85, of Franklin, died June 1, 2003 at his residence. Funeral services were held June 4, 2003 at Booker-Gilbert Funeral Home. Burial followed at Greenlawn Cemetery with military honors by the Simpson County Honor Guard. A native of Simpson County, he was the son of the late Lewis E. Brown and Mary Meguiar Brown. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lucille Alexander Brown. He was a retired postal worker of 28 years, a member of the First Baptist Church, an Army Air Corp Veteran, member of the American Legion Post 62, VFW Post 5706 and Modern Woodman [sic] of the World.

FRANKLIN - Robert Lewis "Bobby" Brown, 85, of Franklin died June 1, 2003, at his home. The Simpson County native was a retired postal worker of 28 years, a member of First Baptist Church, an Army Air Corp veteran, a member of American Legion Post 62, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5706 and Modern Woodmen of the World. He was a son of the late Lewis E. Brown and Mary Mequiar Brown and the husband of the late Lucille Alexander Brown. Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Booker-Gilbert Funeral Home with burial in Greenlawn Cemetery with military honors by the Simpson County Honor Guard. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to First Baptist Church. Survivors include three daughters; a sister; and four grandchildren.
