Herkimer-
Mrs. Emma A. Graves, 317 Gray Street, died yesterday in Herkimer Memorial Hospital after several weeks illness.
She was the widow of George E. Graves a long time Justice of the Peace in the Town of Herkimer.
Mrs. Graves was born in Marietta, N.Y., the daughter of Corrie and Elizabeth Pierce Vinal. She was married to George Graves in 1909 in Syracuse. He died in 1963.
The couple had lived in Herkimer since 1914. At various times Mrs. Graves had operated the "Emma A. Graves Fashion Shop" in Herkimer, Inlet and Old Forge. After the Herkimer shop was destroyed by fire in 1938 she gave up the shops.
She leaves a son, George of Mohawk and a daughter, Mrs. John C.(Ruth)Miller of Herkimer, a sister, Mrs. Howard (Adelaide) Baker of Oneida.
