TV series credits include "The Rookies," "Banacek," "Police Story," "Get Christie Love," "Barney Miller" (Theme song), "Starsky and Hutch," "Charlie's Angels," "The Love Boat," and "Night Court." He was musical director for the 51st Annual Academy Awards show in 1979. Nominated for Music Scoring Awards (Scoring of Music Adaptation or Treatment) in 1964 for "The Unsinkable Molly Brown."
