BYCE, Mills Jr. MILLS M. (Mac) BYCE, JR. Mr. Mills M. (Mac) Byce, Jr died on Thursday morning July 31st, 2008 at the age of 61. Mac was born in Greensboro, GA in 1947. He was an All-State Linebacker for Greene County High School and played on the University of Georgia football team in 1965. He then enlisted in the Army and served his country for 10 years achieving a rank of Captain and receiving a silver star and a meritorious service medal for his courage in Vietnam. Upon his return he worked for Reliance Electric for 25 years as a regional sales manager. In 1993 he formed his own company building custom homes in Brookhaven. He was diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease in 2002, which he battled valiantly. Mac was married for 28 years to Roberta Powers Byce, who passed in 2002. He then married Patricia Crye Byce in 2003 and continued to live in Brookhaven. He is survived by his wife, Patricia; four children (Lili 11, Ming 11, Jay 33, Eric 44); and four grandchildren (Stark 1, Miller 3, Aaron 5, and Hannah 11). Public visitation will be held at H.M. Paterson & Sons-Oglethorpe Hill Chapel at 4550 Peachtree Road from 2-4 on Sunday August 3rd, 2008. Memorial donations may be made to the Parkinson's Disease Foundation or American Cancer Society or Chinese Charities CCAI. A private family service will be held graveside on Tuesday at Oakland Cemetery.
