Katie B. Crabtree, 90, Russell, died Monday, Jan. 8, 2007, at St. John's Nursing Home, Victoria. She was born March 15, 1916, in Beaumont to John and Nellie (Wright) Rollings. She attended school in Latham.
She married Victor Hugo Crabtree on Dec. 13, 1937, in Eureka. He preceded her in death Dec. 23, 1979. She was a homemaker. She grew up and attended school in Latham. They lived in Fredonia, El Dorado, and Latham. They moved to Russell in 1945.
Survivors include a son, Bob Crabtree (and wife Alecia), Mulvane; a daughter, Carol Schmidt (and husband Sam), Russell; two sisters, Ethel Packard and Pearl Marie Brown, both of Wichita; eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Celebration of Life Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Pohlman-Varner-Peeler Mortuary. Memorials are suggested to St. John's Nursing Home, Victoria, in care of the funeral home.
