A native of Transylvania County, she was a daughter of the late Leo Lester Winchester, Sr. and Ida Katie Gillespie Winchester. She was preceded in death by her brothers; Ray M. Winchester and D. S. Winchester, and her sisters; Mildred and Dorothy Winchester.
She was a member of Mount Moriah Calvert Baptist Church. She graduated from Rosam High School abd attended Greenville General Hospital Nursing School.
A funeral Service will be held on Saturday, February 4, 2012 at the Moore Funeral Home Chapel at 11am with the Rev. Marcus Dodson officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Burial will follow at 2:30 at Mountain Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in Pickens, South Carolina.
