Dorothy A. Wetmore, 68, of Bradenville, died Monday, April 9, 2007, in Loyalhanna Care Center, Latrobe. Born Aug. 16, 1938, in Rector, she was a daughter of the late Homer and Olive (Piper) Hoffer. She retired from the former Jamesway Department Store, Latrobe, and had most recently been employed at the Loyalhanna Post Office. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Henry B. Wetmore; a brother, George Hoffer; and a stepson, John B. Wetmore. She is survived by a son, Richard M. Wetmore and wife, Jill, of Latrobe, and their family, Lee, Jacob and Joseph; two daughters, Carol A. Wetmore, of Loyalhanna, and Alice M. Brasili and husband, Barry, of Latrobe, and their family, Brandon, Hannah and Daniel; a brother, Ken Hoffer and wife, Carolyn, of Acme; three sisters, Glenda Hissem and husband, Harry, of Latrobe, Carolyn Hackman and husband, Roger, of Ligonier, and Kathy Papuga and husband, Pat, of Derry; a granddaughter, Toni Ellenberger and husband, Shawn; two great-grandchildren, Jacob and Samantha; her fiance and caretaker, Richard Johnston, of Bradenville; and a stepson, Ronald H. Wetmore and wife, Karen, and their family, Kelsey and Hayley. Family and friends will be received from 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday in the JOHN J. LOPATICH FUNERAL HOME INC., 601 Weldon St., Latrobe. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday in the funeral home with the Rev. Shawn D. Lyons officiating. Interment in Unity Cemetery, Latrobe.
