GEORGETOWN, SC

Mrs. Louise E. Jacobs, age 90, widow of Boyd Wainwright Jacobs, passed away Tuesday, January 31, 2012, at Tidelands Hospice House in Georgetown.

Born July 26, 1921, in Hemingway, SC, she was the daughter of the late Henry Edward Eaddy, Sr. and the late Mary Hutson Eaddy.

She was a graduate of Hemingway High School and attended Winthrop College. Mrs. Jacobs was an active member of Rose Hill Baptist Church and served in many capacities over the years. She sang in the choir, taught Sunday School and Training Union, belonged to the WMU, and taught Vacation Bible School. She was a wonderful cook and also loved to crochet and grow flowers.

Survivors include her daughter, Christa (Frank) Emminger of Seabrook; stepsons, Boyd Edward (Cindy) Jacobs of Pamplico and Gerald Allen (Nancy) Cribb of Georgetown; 7 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; sisters, Dell Cuttino of Charleston and Lucia McLane of Summerville; sisters-in-law, Dot Eaddy of Murrells Inlet and Sara Ann Eaddy of Hemingway; and a host of nieces and nephews on both sides of the family.

Mrs. Jacobs was predeceased by brothers, Henry Eaddy, Carroll Eaddy, Warren Eaddy; and sisters, Lillian Lee, Jan Ard, and Glen Tabor.

Funeral services, conducted by Morris Funeral Home of Hemingway, will be held Thursday, February 2, 2012, at 3:00 p.m. in Rose Hill Baptist Church. Interment will follow in the Church cemetery.
