Ralph E. Marks, 68, of Latrobe, died Wednesday, Dec. 18, 2002, in the Latrobe Area Hospital after a lengthy illness. He was born May 24, 1934, in Latrobe, a son of the late J. Oliver ``Curley'' and Margaret E. (McCracken) Marks. Prior to his retirement in 1976 after 21 years of service, Ralph was employed as an inspector for the Latrobe Steel Company. He was a U.S. Army veteran, having served in Korea. He was a member of the Luxor United Methodist Church, a lifetime member of the Crabtree Sportsmen's Club and a former member of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks, Latrobe Lodge #907. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. in Unity Chapel, Unity Township, with the Rev. Bram Kjellgren officiating. Interment will follow in Unity Cemetery. Should friends desire, memorial contributions may be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Society, 1040 Fifth Ave., Pittsburgh, PA 15219.
