79, of Lettie Lane, wife of 61 years to Toul Hubbard, Jr. Passed away at her home early Wednesday morning.

A native of Cynthiana, KY she was the daughter of Zach and Elizabeth Shrout Shumate. She was a retired cafeteria worker of 27 years for the Clark County Board of Education and a member of the Forest Grove Christian Church.

Additional survivors include 2 sons and a daughter-in-law, Walter Hubbard and David and Debbie Hubbard of Clark Co.; 3 daughters and sons-in-law, Carolyn and Jackie McCloud, Gail and Terry DeCapio, and Fern and Gary Blake, all of Clark Co.; 9 Grandchildren, Beth Gibbs Smith, David Rankin, Bryan Woosley, Jeff Hubbard, John Biggerstaff, Mackela Chenault, April Withrow and Toulmin Hubbard, all of Clark Co., and Andrea Hubbard Vetter of Louisville, KY; several great grandchildren; 2 brothers, Bill Shumate of Clark Co. And Eugene Shumate of Powell Co.; a sister, Margorie McCuddy of Clark Co. And several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by 4 sisters, Edna Hall, Florence Hollon, Marie Nixon and Ann Banks and 3 brothers, Cecil Shumate, J.R. Shumate and Charles Shumate.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m., Friday, August 22, 2008 at Scobee Funeral Home by Rev. Ben Rake. Burial will be in Clarmont Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be David Hubbard, Bryan Woosley, David Rankin, Jeff Hubbard, John Biggerstaff, Toulman Hubbard, Jackie McCloud and Gary Blake.

Visitation will be Friday from 11 a.m. Until the hour of service.

In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy to Hospice East or the Building Fund at Forest Grove Christian Church are appreciated.
