J. Oliver Clevenger, 84, 270 Hoyt Ave., died Monday in Ball Memorial Hospital. A retired Warner Gear employee, he was a member of High Street Methodist Church, the Methodist Men and the McClellan Bible Class.

He also was a member and past master of Delaware Lodge 46, F&AM, and a member of York Rite orders and the Scottish Rite of Indianapolis.

He is survived by his wife, Daisy; a step-daughter, Miss Betty Jean Rhoton, Muncie, and several nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at Meeks Mortuary from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday with Masonic memorial rites there at 8 p.m. Wednesday. Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Thursday a the mortuary with Dr. Donald Bailey officiating. Burial will be in Jones Cemetery.
