Wilbert Francis Ambrose, son of Riley and Belle Hicks Ambrose, was born near Hettick, Ill, July 29, 1911 and passed away near his home in Whitewater, Wis., on Dec. 6, 1956 at the age of 45 years, 4 months and 7 days.
He was married to Esther Davis in May 1929 and to this union two children were born, William of Alton, Il and Robert, in the armed forces, stationed in Japan.
He later married Bertha Reeves Sennett and she survives. They have two children, Richard and Maribel at home.
He is survived by his mother, Mrs.Belle Ambrose of Palmyra, IL; three brothers, Curtis, Franklin, Il; Luther, Scotville, IL; Archie, Hettick, IL; and three sisters, Mrs. Ralph Sitton, Franklin, IL; Mrs. Robert Bilbrucks, Palmyra, IL; and five step-children; Gene, Barbara, and Patricia Sennett all of Peoria, IL and and Jerry and Charles Sennett at home.
Funeral services were held at the Stults Funeral Home in Palmyra and burial was at Pine Tree Cemetery near Patterson.
Dick, as he was known here, lived near Dahlgren until 1954 and was well known and liked in that vicinity.
