T.J. Bucknell who has been in very poor health for some time, passed away at his home here, Tuesday afternoon. On March 13th Mr. and Mrs. Bucknell celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary. They came to Kansas from Michigan in 1885 and located in Washington county (sic). Six years later they purchased and moved onto the farm south of town where they made their home until a few years ago. The deceased was a friend to every man, woman and child in the community. For the past few weeks he has suffered much but never complained. He leaves to mourn his departure, his wife and companion of sixty years, five sons, several grand children and great-grand child; also the entire community. – Hardy (From The Herald.)
