Cynthia L. Oliphant, 49, of Sapulpa, passed away on Saturday, December 24, 2011 in Tulsa surrounded by her family and loved ones. She was 49 years old. Cyndi was born August 10, 1962, in Chicago, Ill., to Linda Lee Hinds, who later married John Gary Vanhoutean. Cyndi married the love of her life Jerry Oliphant February 28, 1986, in Tulsa, Okla.
Cyndi was proceeded in death by mother Linda Lee Vanhoutean, her father John Gary Vanhoutean and sister Sandy Vanhoutean.
Cyndi was survived by husband of the home, Jerry Oliphant, two daughters, Linda Hinds Edmisten and Heather Oliphant of Sapulpa, Okla.; brother Robert Vanhoutean of Sand Springs, Okla.; four grandchildren, Autumn Edmisten, Maddy Edmisten, Haley Edmisten, Jayden Menefee, all of Sapulpa, Okla.
Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Thursday, December 29, 2011, at Smith Funeral Chapel, Sapulpa, Okla. Officiating will be Pastor Matt Blair. Interment to follow at South Heights Cemetery.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Smith Funeral Home.
