Mary Louise Russ Ludlum, 82, of Shallotte died Monday, December 12, 2011 at Autumn Care of Shallotte. She was a daughter of the late Allen Pinkley and Mary Ada Grissett Russ. She served as Postmaster of Longwood, NC Post Office for several years, and was a lifetime member of Old Shallotte Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Hyet Holden and Eldridge Ludlum.
Surviving are her son, Danny Holden; sister, Eva Dell Bennett of Shallotte; sister-in-law, Llena Holden of Ocean Isle Beach; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, December 14th at Old Shallotte Baptist Church with The Rev. Landis Lancaster officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be in Mintz Cemetery.
Casket Bearers will be Jerald Russ, Chris Russ, Jeff Russ, Bobby Long Dane Stanley, and David Stephens.
