Mary Dailey passed away on December 7, 2011, at Vista Oaks of Lakeway, Texas.

She was born April 25, 1925, to Cleve and Mary Helen Redus in Palestine, Texas.

She married Ralph Dailey, the love of her life, shortly after graduation from high school, and was forever a proud Aggie wife. Mary and Ralph lived in Port Arthur, Texas, Amarillo, Texas and Cherry Hill, New Jersey, while raising their children and pursuing Ralph's career as a chemical engineer for Texaco. When their youngest child graduated from high school they fulfilled their dreams of life abroad, living in Honduras, Venezuela, and Sweden. They returned to the states to reside in New Orleans, Louisiana. Then, upon Ralph's retirement, they moved to the Ozarks of Missouri.

After Ralph's death in 1982, Mary moved to Katy, Texas to be closer to her children. She spent her later years in Lakeway, Texas.

Mary was an active volunteer wherever she lived, having served as an Elder, Deacon, Sunday School Teacher, Choir Member, and Office Volunteer at various churches, including The First Christian Church of Port Arthur, The First Christian Church of Katy, and The Lakeway Church. She was also a volunteer at hospitals in Amarillo and Katy. She was active in PTA and other school organizations while raising her family.

Her favorite hobbies included crossword puzzles and traveling. One of her favorite quotes was from an obituary she once read that said "She traveled all over the world, except for a lot of places". That truly applied to Mary's life as well. She and Ralph were able to visit many countries all over the world, and she continued to travel with friends after his death.

Her favorite scriptures were Psalm 23 and The Lord's Prayer.

Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph R. Dailey, Jr., her baby daughter, Jackie Lynn Dailey, and her five brothers.

She is survived by her daughter, Nita Perkins and her husband Dan; her son, Russell Dailey and his wife Margaret and her daughter Jean Schilder and her husband Paul; ten grandchildren and by twenty-seven great-grandchildren.
