Ridley was the bass player for the musical group, 'Humble Pie,' which formed in 1968 in Essex, England, and included members, Peter Frampton, Steve Marriott, Bob Tench, Jerry Shirley, Anthony Jones, and Dave 'Clem' Clempson. The band which originally was a Steve Marriott/Peter Frampton group called 'Small Faces,' recorded on the labels, A&M, King Biscuit Flower, Import, Immediate, Atco, and Castle. The group had several hit albums and recordings, as well as a very successful tour in the United States and other successes before the group broke up in 1975. In 1977 the old group 'Small Faces' was again reunited, as well as 'Humble Pie' in 1980, but both broke up after only a short time, with several members going to other groups or solo careers. Steve Marriott died in a house fire on April 20,1991, at the age of 44, and Ridley passed away from throat cancer in November 2003 at the age of 56. The group's recordings included, 'Only You Can See,''79th Street Blues,' 'Up Your Sleeves,' '4 Day Creep,' 'C'mon Everybody,' 'Honky Tonk Warrior,' 'Blues I Believe To My Soul,' '30 Days In The Hole,' 'Road Runner,' 'Hallelujah, I Love Her So,' 'I Don't Need No Doctor,' 'Hot N' Nasty,' 'Black Coffee,' 'I Can't Stand The Rain,' and 'A Song For Jenny,' among many others.
