CLINTON, Ky., Jan 16 - Funeral services for Mrs. Effie Batts, 69, were held at 2 p.m. Friday at Bethel Church with the Rev. O. C. Wrather and the Rev. H. A. Smith officiating. Burial was in Bethel Cemetery.
Mrs. Batts died Wednesday morning at a Memphis hospital. She had been ill several months.
Survivors include her husband, Jap Batts; three sons, Leonard and Chester Batts of Detroit, and V. L. Batts, Clinton; a daughter, Mrs. C. J. Gray, Fulgham; a brother, Bert Beadles, Hickman County; three sisters, Mrs. Blumer Via, Clinton, Mrs. Lala Vaughan, Hickman County, and Mrs. Sally Pillow, California.
