Soul Singer. A native of Atlanta, Georgia, Conley began his recording career in 1959 with the musical group, 'Arthur And The Korvets,' later becoming a protege of Otis Redding, who later wrote and sang the 1967 hit album and song, "Sweet Soul Music" with. As a recording artist on the Atco Record Label and the Atlantic Record Label, he later became a member of the musical group, 'The Soul Clan' along with Joe Tex, Ben E. King, Solomon Burke, Wilson Pickett, and Don Covay. He also toured overseas on the Stax/Volt Revue Record Label. In 1970s after touring Europe for several years he moved to The Netherlands where he died on November 18, 2003, at the age of 57, of intestinal cancer. His other recordings include, 'Take A Step,' 'Run On,' 'Speak Her Name,' 'That Can't Be My Baby,' 'Is That You Love,' 'Something You Got,' 'Stuff You Gotta Watch,' 'Aunt Dora's Soul Love Shack,' 'I Got A Feeling,' 'One Night Is All I Need,' 'Shing-A-Ling,' 'Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Di,' 'Funky Street,' 'Wholesale Love,' 'People Sure Act Funny,' 'Ha Ha Ha,' 'Burning Fire,' and 'Baby, What You Want Me To Do.'
