BOBBY JACK ARVIN, the son of Mrs. Wanda McKinney Arvin of Beattyville, Kentucky and the late Jack Lee Arvin, was born in Beattyville, Kentucky on August 30, 1957 and departed this life at his residence in Lee County, Kentucky on October 24, 2011 at the age of 54 years, 1 month and 24 days. He was a Navy veteran, a former butcher, and a member of the Beartrack Bible Church. Mr. Arvin enjoyed spending his spare time hunting and fishing with his grandson.


In addition to his mother Wanda, Mr. Arvin is survived by his daughter, Nivra Arvin Lainhart and husband Derek of Ravenna, Kentucky; his grandson Donovan; his sister, Donna Arvin Kennington and husband Ronnie of Martinsville, Virginia; a nephew, Gregory Terry and wife Georgie of Beattyville; his ex-wife, Cheryl Arvin of Irvine, Kentucky; and a host of other relatives and friends. Mr. Arvin is preceded in death by his father, Jack; his grandparents, Hubert and Suzie McKinney and Algin and Delitha Arvin; and a nephew, Brian Keith Kennington

Funeral services at Newnam Funeral Home Chapel in Beattyville, with Rev. William Owens and Rev. Scott Brandenburg officiating. Burial at Beatty Place Cemetery. Pallbearers were Leslie Estes Jr., Joe Young, Clyde Young, Larry Gene Reece, Ronald Overbee, Bobby Samples, and Dexter Mansfield. Honorary pallbearers were Anthony Mansfield, Ronnie Kennington, Greg Terry, Derek Lainhart, Jonah Lainhart, Bennie Samples, Christopher Camden, Terry Dale Camden and Jerry Kelly.
