Clarence Courier, Clarence, Shelby, Missouri, Wednesday, January 22, 1913, page 7. Married at Kirksville.
The many friends of Miss Nellie Tuggle were quite surprised last week to hear that she and Mr. Chas. Baker had been married at Kirksville Sunday, Jan. 12, 1913. Miss Tuggle has been in Kirksville during the winter attending school. After their marriage they went to Kansas City to visit friends and returned home the last of the week.
Mrs. Baker is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ed Tuggle of Leonard and a young lady of many accomplishments. Mr. Baker is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Lee Baker of the firm of Baker & Coe, of Leonard. Both young people are from families who stand high in the Leonard community.
Best wishes for long life and happiness are extended to the happy young couple.

Friends were shocked last Saturday to learn of the death of Mrs. Nellie Tuggle Baker, who passed away that morning at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Bert Wiggins at Shelbina, following a few days illness.
The deceased was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. E.W. Tuggle of near Leonard and besides the family is survived by a large circle of relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held at Leonard Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock, conducted by Rev. J.H. Coil of Shelbina. Burial in the Leonard cemetery.

Died While Visiting Here.
Mrs. Nellie Tuggle Baker died at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Bert Wiggins, of this city, last Saturday morning, after an illness of about one week. She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. E. W. Tuggle of Leonard and came to this place to visit Miss Lucille Hart and other.s Shortly after arriving she was taken with flux and later with a complication of ailments. She was the granddaughter of Mosco Garnett, who was at her bedside when the end came.
She leaves a little son, father, mother and many other relatives to mourn her departure.
The funeral services were held at Leonard Monday, conducted by Rev. J. H. Coil of this city. Interment in the Leonard cemetery.
